So today, I am helping my cousin in her art project in mandarin class: making a colorful family tree! We bought different kinds of artsy materials such as smiley and cute stickers, corogated paper, doodle eyes, popsicle sticks, 1/4 illustration board, cottons, gift wrapper, tape and glue. We also went to Kodak to print her family’s picture. The picture was designed by my cousin. It is 4r in size and each picture were collaged based on their personality.
Normally it was 2×2 and it was only sticked on the tree that you have drawn. Designate things and you are done. But since she’s already in college we do it differently we draw each part of the tree at the back of the corogated paper, cut it and arranged it on the illustration board. To give a drama to the picture: you may cut the popsicle sticks into small pieces (same size) stick them together on top of each other, put the picture to make it look like it was embossed.
Her younger sibling died on the day he was born so we have decided to put an angel to the center representing him instead of a white box and design the rest.
Making this kind of artwork is fun. It’s like I am being a kid again, you know when you were in elementary you do a lot of this stuff because getting your hands dirty and playing with different colors were what we only enjoyed doing. Now that I’m a lady. Haha I still enjoy doing some art because I’m a DIY and scrapbooking person.
If you have some cool artworks that is easy to make. Feel free to share it with the world and with me. And let’s do some art attack.
