Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lenten season and the beginning of 40-day praying and fasting. It is celebrated by the Roman Catholics as early as February four and as late as March 10 following the Western Christian Calendar. This year, the Lenten season is celebrated early.
Earlier, we attended a Mass and have ashes placed in our foreheads as a sign of our repentance to God. The ash supposed to look like a cross. But since, it’s my habit to scratch my forehead whenever I think, I somehow forgot that there’s an ash on it, ended up having an ‘L’ shaped.
How about you, have you celebrated Ash Wednesday?
