Last November 5, I was invited to attend the opening of Makati City’s “Basura’y Bawasan, Balik-Gamitin at Baguhin ang Anyo sa Pasko”or ‘3B sa Pasko’ at the Ground Floor of the Old Makati City Hall.
The 3B sa Pasko is an annual exhibit conducted by the Department of Environmental Services that provides venue to entrepreneurs from the barangays, schools and non-government organizations in Makati to sell Christmas decors and other products made out of recycled materials.
I could see that their products are one of a kind. It is not the usual gift that we can give to our lovedones, as it is really a product of their hardwork, artistic and creative ideas. Like, who could even think that a plastic bottle of softdrinks can be a chandelier and broomstick; a paper can be used as accessories, bags and a treasure or gift box. Amazing isn’t it? Actually my favorite is the beautiful pink bag made out of banig. It is really affordable, starting from P100, you can already buy these products.
So, if you still have no idea on what to give to your lovedones, you might as well drop by at the Lobby of the old Makati City Hall from Mondays to Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm. And there are a lot of things you can choose from.
What’s more interesting here is that, you don’t only make your lovedone happy, you also help preserve the cleanliness of the environment and help these entrepreneur earn money which they will used to support their programs.
‘3B sa Pasko will run until December 07, 2012. Shop wisely! 🙂
