My cousin Khristine has told me twice of this Korean Japanese Restaurant near her school called “Mashita“. I know this is a big deal for her because she’s a fan of Korea and KPop’s’. As a certified Food Explorer or should I say ‘Foodie’, I wake up as early as 5am to join her to school in Manila to try Mashita’s food.
We ordered Bulgogi Kimbap, I have actually no idea what Kimbap means but I know what Bulgogi is. Upon ordering, I asked the waiter “Bulgogi” is Beef right? and she remark “Yes! it comes with 12 slices”. I was imagining a meal of rice and a beef cut in twelve slices. And to my surprise, I saw a Korean Beef Sushi.Yes, it is cut in 12 slices, with rice and beef. Sushi! Seriously! Great! I don’t eat Sushi! It’s raw and I just can’t get its taste. (It’s my preference) I wish it doesn’t taste that bad! I tried a single slice, eyes closed (this is really challenging!) And… it’s “Mashita!” This is the first sushi I’ve ever liked. For the first time, I tasted sushi like it is a food. My tummy is still requesting for a refill so, I ordered Omurice, a fried rice covered with egg and ketchup, along with veggies on the side. A single order is good for two person, but is fine just for me. My cousin knew its taste already, so she just took some bites of it, since she have half of Kimbap by herself. Next thing I knew, my plate is clean already. I have no doubts why it’s the favorite food of the four men in the korean drama “Rooftop Prince”.
After that, we headed to Gateway near Araneta Center to watch “Jobs”, because I love Ashton Kutcher. ♥ And I don’t know if we are too early or too late to catch it on cinemas. But we are here anyway, so we watch Mortal Instruments City of Bones instead. Lucky for us, the moviehouse is not crowded (it’s a weekday). Woot! Woot! 🙂 City of Bones is a story of Clary, a girl who she thought is a normal girl from Brooklyn but due to some circumstances she found herself as one of the ShadowHunters, a half human and half angel. “I’m a Shadowhunter, I will protect you with my life.” says Jace in his British Accent. I’ve got a secret to tell. I admire British Accent, I find it very romantic, I cannot keep from giggling whenever I hear one. It’s like Shakespeare is talking to me. Hahaha ♥ So, you imagine me smiling all throughout the movie, especially on the GreenHouse Scene. I just love how producers come out with a great movie like this. Indeed, I’m reading the book City of Bones. I have a complete set. Yes, this is their impact to me. Haha Have you watched the movie yet? If not! Grab those tickets. Come on, it’s now or never! ♥ 🙂
