I guess what this movie tries to imply is that “the idea that the ‘perfect woman’ automatically leads to happiness is not or indeed cannot be true. Real life doesn’t work that way.”
The Power of the Magic typewriter. If I had a magic typewriter that lets me control one person, then I would like to take control of one of the bookstore’s owners and asked him to give me books and book accesories every after four days. 🙂
50 First Dates. Back in college, I often heard students along the hallway talking about movies and I came across 50-First Dates. At that moment, I knew there was something special in this movie, but I never had a chance to watch it then though. So, I blackmailed insisted to my cousins to watch it today or else… hehe Seeing the cover, I get so kilig seeing Drew Barrymore, she’s one of my girly crushes kasi beside Jennifer Aniston, Penelope Cruz, Zooey Deschanel etc.. Ayiee! 🙂 It is a sad story about Henry and Lucy. Henry, is a man/vet. afraid of commitment and up until he meets the beautiful Lucy. They meet in a Breakfast Restaurant where Lucy is always eating, playing with waffles, and reading newspapers and Henry who’s unfortunately by chance eats before he heads to work as a vet. Lucy and Henry get along so well and hit it off. Henry thinks he finally found his true love, until he discovers that Lucy has a short-term memory loss due to the accident she had the day of her father’s birthday and forgets him the very next day. But because of his love, he did everything to make her remember him and all their memories together by recording it in a VHS tape named “Good Morning Lucy”. And one day, Lucy remembers his face for no reason at all, paint it and post it into the wall of an empty room. And the rest is up to you to watch. 🙂 It is very heartwarming–how Henry shows his love for Lucy everyday, especially with her condition. For a normal man, they will get tired of it, but not Henry, he’s persistent, admirable, and in love. This I could say is TRUE LOVE.
Serendipity. Do you believe in fate? Soul mates? and Destiny? If YES, then you have to watch this movie. No BUT’s. It is a story of two people who believed that if they are really for each other fate and destiny will find ways for them to find each other. It all started in Serendipity Store, Christmas time. They are looking for a pair of black gloves but find only one pair. They hit it off and make a deal to destiny. A few year’s back they do not see each other and have relationship of its own. But still they are holding on to destiny that someday they will find each other again and live happily ever after.
500 Days of Summer. People have different ways on how they cope up with break-ups or heartbreaks, you may drown yourself to death or rededicate yourself to your passion. A story or should I say a narration of several events in Tom and Summer’s 500-day Relationship. Tom is an architect who works as a writer in a company in Los Angeles where she meet Summer, his new boss’s assistant. Few moths after the Karaoke Night, Tom and Summer’s relationship grows. But Summer doesn’t believe that True Love exist, she told Tom about it but Tom still pursue whatever it is that they have. One Day, after they watch a Film entitled “The Graduate”, which Tom thinks shows True Love, they have this argument about their perceptions and decided to call it quits. Tom take that badly and had this deep depression leaving only in his apartment to take an alcohol and junk foods. His friend calls his little sister to accompany her brother. A few days after, Tom get his shape up and start all over again. I guess, “If some things are not meant to be, it is really not meant to be, do not push yourself too hard on them because you will end up hurting yourself. ”
Pitch Perfect. “I saw the sign and it open up my eyes I saw the sign”, admit it you sang it instead of reading it! huh! Gotcha! hehe A musical comedy film directed by Jason Moore. It is about an all girls a Capella group named Barden Bellas competition with an all boys group named The Treblemakers in the Nationals. These aspiring groups are from the same school. The Plot: Beca doesn’t have interest in going to College, but her father forces her to. As she steps in the University, all she does is make mash-up mixes song and spent her time as an intern at their school’s radio station where he met Jessie. Her father found out that she’s skipping her class and confront her about it, making a deal that if she joins one club and after a year, if she doesn’t want to study anymore she is free to move into Los Angeles. Beca then join the Barden Bellas and her freshman year has somehow changed. She meets new friends, learns to express herself through music, and stand up to what she believes is right. And while everyone is attached with Beca’s “When I’m Gone”, here I am captivated to the Riff-Off”s “Let’s Talk about Sex” and “I’ll Make Love to You” songs. I love the transition of songs, and the expression on Donald’s face or Gab Valenciano as we call him. 🙂 I can’t explain how I felt during that particular scene in Riff-Off (there’s so many emotions) All I know is just I keep on playing it multiple times!. And Because of Barden Bellas Final Performance in the Nationals, I am downloading The Breakfast Club movie.
