A Surprise Golden Birthday Party for My GodMother

Posted on September 6, 2013 | by karenmeetsworld | Category: Uncategorized

My Mom’s sister and my Godmother will be turning 50 this coming Monday. She’s actually planning to treat us to a fancy restaurant to celebrate it. Needless she know, we have planned to surprise her at their apartment early today. Even her children and husband doesn’t know this, because we just want to have a simple family gathering. So, we gather everyone at my Aunt’s house to prepare everything : the food and the fancy letter hats. We drove across the Streets of the Financial District to get to their house and to our surprise my Godmother is not there, because she is attending a meeting. Her youngest child is taking a bath, the middle is playing outside and the eldest is busy watching TV. Great! Hahahaha Although, we take advantage of this time by putting the food in place, so when she arrives she’ll be really really surprised. At hindi nga kami nagkamali, the moment we hear her footsteps across their door and wholeheartedly sing “Happy Birthday!” She really cried so hard because of “happiness”. Seeing her crying, makes us cry and laugh at the same time too (that explains our swollen eyes in the picture). Me and my cousins are laughing because as we look at each other, we only see tears pouring down our eyes uncontrollably (feeling kami ang may birthday. hahahahaha)

Birthdays in any member of the family will not be complete without Amber, Suking suki na kami nyan ever since 2009.  Hahaha Their Palabok, Spaghetti, Pancit, and Barbecue are always at our table, masarap naman kasi talaga. Of course, ang Cake from Goldilocks, Pizza from Greenwhich, Give-aways from Creative Minds and the rest from the family’s kitchen. 🙂 If you will notices, most of our food are delivered lang, kasi we don’t have much time. since it’s a weekday and everyone is at work. But thanks to these Food Chains for making this day Easy for us. 🙂

We in the family are very close to each other. 🙂 So we always make it a point that even though, our family is big (really big, I mean this pictures is just  1/8) we are always there for each other whatever occasion it is. 🙂
