Happy Halloween

Posted on November 2, 2012 | by karenmeetsworld | Category: Random Thoughts

True horror stories stay with you. Over the past years, I’ve made it a normal routine to tell people horror stories  during Halloween. And remembering those stories, still creeps me out and gives me this unexplained feeling.

When I was in elementary, I got a high fever. It was late night, I was sleeping and my mom was putting a white hot cold towel on my forehead. Suddenly, I woke up feeling a little hot and sweaty. I was mumbling words,  I was like “Mom, nandyan si Lalaine sa likod mo, huwag mong harangan”. My mom was asking, “who? ano bang sinasabi mo?”. Still confused because we were the only ones’ in the room. I said “ayan oh sa likod mo”. My mom said, “wala naman, ano bang sinasabi mo? matulog ka na nga lang ulit”. I don’t know if I was like that because I have a high fever, or it was just a dream? I dunno, but the girl is really Lalaine, my classmate.

Moreover, I was at the office. My old desk was facing my art director’s room. It was a habit that everytime I signed out of the office, I looked at his room to say goodbye. One time, I was about to say goodbye to him, looked at his office and see the back of a man in white barong, which looked like my boss’s top. I didn’t say goodbye as I thought he was busy doing stuff. But as I signed out to the timekeepers record downstairs, I saw my art director going back to the office. I told him “Sir, andito kayo? bilis niyo naman po!” He answered “Kanina pa kaya ako nag-out”. I replied “Eh sir, nakita ko lang po kayo sa office niyo kanina, akala ko nga po busy kayo kaya di na ko nakapag-paalam”. He was liked “Hala ka! Hindi ako Yun”. I just looked confused then, and say goodbye. The next day, our art director told me, that after he got home, he immediately fold his clothes reversely to shoo away bad vibes. It was a belief though.

I guess it is a clear testimony that each of us have experience unexplained event or what they call a horror incident. It stays with us until we grow old, yes! But is this really true? Do monsters and ghost really exist? Or it is just a product of our wide imagination? I know  YOU  know the answer!

Happy Halloween Folks!
