Hi Ladies! I have some questions for you: Do you get easily irritated, annoyed or mad on things no matter how small and simple it is in just a snap? Do you ever feel sadness and loneliness at night? Do you find yourself wanting to just sit in the sofa, lie down on the bed all day? Do you eat more than your normal food intake or sometimes lose appetite? Well, if you answer “YES” to all of my questions, then you’re having a PMS Mood Swings. PMS are normal for ladies, but too annoying for other people, especially when they don’t have any idea of your period. So before it cause damage to your relationship with your lovedones and ruin things. You MUST learn to control yourself, I know it is hard. But You have to at least TRY. Here are few things I do to calm myself when I have PMS Mood Swings and I hope this will help you too.
Warn Them. It is best to let people know that you are mad at stuff so they cannot ruin your day even more. I’m not saying that you should announce to everyone that you have PMS but simply tell them you’re not in the mood at this time and surely they will understand.
PMS Journal. Write down the things that gets you annoyed or events/situations that makes you feel sad and fight it with the “what’s the right thing to do list”. This may need time but it’s worth it. Your negative emotions will turn into the low level and at least make you feel good. It’s like having an anger notebook with you. 🙂
Eat Properly. Eat small amount of food with carbohydrates and large amount of fiber and protein to stop your mood swings. I don’t know if this has any scientific/health explanations, but it’s what helps me during my period.
Let it All Out. If these emotions causes you a lot of stress then RELEASE IT. If you have to cry, cry it out. If you have to shout, shout it out loud. But make sure that you are in a safe place such as your bedroom or garage.
Relax Yourself. Listen to good music and look at relaxing pictures. This will help you reduce your tensions.
