Blogs and Bloggers are like sun and flowers, they rise and bloom overtime. I’ve chosen my Top 10 from the list, and I thought of sharing it with you guys, for you to check it out and be inspired about. I haven’t met any of them in person but I’m hoping I would when I get the chance in the upcoming Digital Influencers Marketing Summit event to be held on October 10, 2015 at the Antel Hotel in Makati City. Some of these blogs I follow for personal reasons while some I just started following lately. So, without further ado, these are my chosen blogs:
1. Manila Concert Junkies
Let’s make some noise!!! AAHHHH! Manila Concert Junkies is one of my favorite music, concert blogs ever existed on the internet. They keep me up-to-date for the latest news in the concert and music scene, whether it is local, international or Kpop, they’ve covered it all. So, you’ll get the first dibs of what’s rockin’ at the Araneta Coliseum, the Mall of Asia Arena, or the Sky Dome. Plus, they write with passion too, you will know that, when you read their blog, the team knows the band, artist, or the performer well and their songs. It’s like they have a personal connection with it. It’s so good.
2. Garbage Pollution and Green Environment
I’m always a supporter of blogs that have a good cause, especially, if it tackles bullying and environment. I’ve handled the environment sector back when I’m still working as a writer in a government. So, it’s really close to my heart. And what I like about Garbage Pollution and Green Environment blog is, it teaches people how to take care of Mother Earth and act on the on-going problems of the environment through videos and articles. As well as live healthy and eat organic foods through their recipes. While some of their post might be technical to a normal person, they made sure that it’s written in a way that they may be able to understand. In that way, it keeps people aware and knowledgeable about the environment.
3. Karlaroundtheworld
Travelers will always include ‘travel cost’ on their savings. As for me, I have a piggy bank that only pertains to travel, because I wouldn’t know when and where I’m up to next, so I must be prepared for it. I love traveling within a budget, just so I will not run out of money. Who would love that right? And the only way to achieve that is to prepare ahead of my travel date, it takes a lot of work, but it’s worth it. One thing I always check before booking my next destination are travel blogs, because it’s a great resource for good places, there’s a lot of it out there and Karlaroundtheworld is one of them. What I love about this blog is that it has a good photograph of the place Karla has been to, that swoons me to pack my bags right now and go there right away, yes, it has that effect on me! It also gives you tips on travelling, recommendations, and travelling lessons from which we can learn from.
4. Rookie Mommy Philippines
When I become a part of Project Mom last year, it makes me understand my mom even better, like how hard it is to raise a kid and become a wife at the same time. It’s very unusual for non-moms like me to tackle pregnancy and breastfeeding on a regular conversation, because of-course we have no experience for such matter. But, I love reading stories about the experiences of new moms. I ran across Rookie Mommy Philippines yesterday on my Facebook feed, so, I browsed through it. I love how she solves first-time mom problems like what should be on my baby carrier? what do you usually experience during pregnancy? and what to plan for a baby shower? and share her experiences on her blog. It’s very informative and a good read for all moms and first-time moms.
5. Artful Chapter
I love making my hands dirty with colors, and paints. But, unfortunately, I wasn’t given a talent for creating arts like real arts unlike Ada. Ada, is a young girl who shares her talent for drawing, craft and photography on her blog Artful Chapter. She’s so adorable and really talented. Actually, it’s my first-time to ran across a blogger as young as her. Normally, it’s a mom’s blog with a story of her daughter, but this is the other way around. And it’s soo cute. I love how Ada and her mom collaborate for this blog, and you can really feel through their posts how this blog has bonded them together and connected them closer.
6. Happy Hub
Do you remember my post about “finding your happiness”? Well, I guess, I found it and is continue pursuing it. Though, there are ups and downs in life, what important is we get back up and we remain happy. Happy hub is one of my happiness sources, whenever I feel distracted at work, I just look at her posts and get back on track. I love how she share tips and how to’s for working girls like me, and how she continue to do things that makes her happy. I love how people find and share their bliss to readers, it inspires me to share mine too.
7. Nice Things Philippines
Do you remember how Professor created the Powerpuff Girls? Oh I love bubbles BTW! He combined Sugar + Spice + Everything NICE right? No wonder Powerpuff Girls are nice girls who saves their planet. Now, back to planet earth Karen! *Snap* There’s a living Nice in the Philippines who shares nice things. Isn’t it nice? I love her name and yes she shares nice things on her blogs including foods, travels, events, and coupons. But my personal favorite are her food posts, it’s very delectable. It makes me hungry.
8. Chef Jay’s Kitchen
Everyone who knows me knew that I love to eat, it makes my heart broken whenever there’s no food in the refrigerator and in my bag (I always bring food). And it’s very rare that I take pictures of my food before eating it. Normally, I eat it before taking pictures with my companions (baligtad) so because I love food, I love food blogs as well, just like Chef Jay’s Kitchen. I love how he review foods and restaurants, it’s very straightforward, you may see it on his zomato account. I love how he shares recipes’ on his blog. As a working individual, normally we end up eating ready-to-cook meal, but his recipes are so easy to follow which we can try at home and be our ‘baon’. Plus, he has a coffee portion on his blog which is a PLUS for me!
9. Pilipinas Daily
Apart from digital newspapers that we know of, we also get information through blogs. There’s one I discovered just recently, it is Pilipinas Daily, a blog that shares news, lifestyle, motoring, fashion, feature stories, to name a few. And the thing I love about it, is that their stories are not opinionated, I know most of you think that blogs shares opinions or stories of people, but here, since they do news, they make sure that there’s a balance of story, which is very rare nowadays. Their blog has potential and if they continue with this path, they are going places.
10. Doctor Eamer
I really admire bloggers who writes in Filipino / Tagalog, because it’s hard. I speak Filipino well, but I cannot write well. I tried once for work, and I have to look for a dictionary and a guide just to finish an article. The figures of speech are different as it needs that pull to make a great effect, but I guess the love for words are what makes it really work. Doctor Eamer has given that talent to write well in Filipino, I guess his love for words and love for Love is what makes his blog work together. Since, he writes in Filipino and his words makes me *giggle* at some point, this blog has my support.
