I was at work when I found out that Bobby from iKON will have a solo concert in Manila. I was excited because I know that it’s gonna be a lit show knowing that he’s “THE KING OF YOUTH”! But also hesitant after seeing my bills to pay.đ It also did not help when a few weeks later iKON released a ticket selling for their Get Back Tour in Manila.
I wanted to attend both if I could but I only have a budget for one. I had to contemplate a lot before I could have made my final decision that I didn’t notice that Bobby’s concert was just a week away.
A few days before Bobby’s concert, I saw that the only ticket tier that I can afford has ran out and only the ticket for the other tiers were still being sold. Also, seeing all those promotions from iKONICs have triggered me more to go for it. So I have finally decided to go.
I have given myself an ultimatum that if I can find anyone who sells Bobby’s concert ticket I will buy it no questions asked. But if I can’t find one, then maybe I’m not meant to be there. Lo and behold. Someone from Twitter sold me Bobby’s concert ticket for a lower price and even gave me a free fan merch. What a good deal right?
So, I’m gonna attend Bobby’s Zero Gravity Tour. AAAAAHHHH!!! I will finally get to hear Bobby’s Love and Fall songs. Yun talaga ang pinaka favorite kong album nya sa lahat but I like his other songs too ha, yun lang talaga ang pinaka special. Haha But you get me.
Bobby’s Zero Gravity Tour in Manila
I went to SM North Skydome alone. Well, most of the time, I’m alone, but I’m not worried because for sure I will meet IKONICs / SIRs there. However, I’m a bit lost because I’m not familiar with the area. I can count on my fingers the times I’ve went there. I think the last time I’ve went there was for Nonkul Fanmeeting in 2018. Yeah! That Long… And the place changed a lot. There were no connecting area from Trinoma to SM North anymore because some parts were being renovated. So I had to pass through outside the building and cross the street to find the area for strapping.
When I was at the strapping booth, I was given a poster and an ID. I accepted it and proceeded to buy my food. After that, I went to Cafe JangGeum to claim the Cup Sleeves Event Kit, and then proceeded to the Fan Booth to claim the fan project kits and meet my twitter mutuals.
I also lined up to have my photos taken on the Concert Banners while waiting for the concert to start.
After I had my photos taken, one of the ushers told me to proceed to the ground floor to line up for entry. I was confused because I know that it was not time for us to go in line yet because my ticket was silver. The one in line were for VIP and Gold. I didn’t mind her and just proceeded to Starbucks to buy a drink then one of them called me again to go down and told me to double time, which was weird. I just let it pass and sat down at Starbucks and scroll over my photos. It was then that I realized why I was being led to the line. I was wearing a Gold ID. I really thought everyone has an ID because of the ticket price. I haven’t scrolled over the concert details thoroughly except for the price so I really have no idea. Since I was not intended to have one, and me having ID meant one GOLD concert goer has no ID, I had to return it back to the Helpdesk so the proper iKONIC / SIR will get it.
After returning it, I went back to Starbucks to wait for our turn. An hour later, we were finally asked to fall in line which we gladly followed. We were hyped in line because we can clearly hear the soundcheck from the line. That’s an advantage when the event was held at Skydome because the outside was just literaly the outside from the concert hall door so even when you were teamlabas, it would feel like you were inside as the sounds were the same.
I went inside and proceeded to my area. I sat on my seat and it was on an obstructed view. I took a picture of my view and went to an usher to request if I can be transferred because my view was obstructed. They were nice enough to lead me to the standing section. It was not my expected section to be transferred to but I am grateful. It was a perfect section to watch Bobby’s concert because it will be a party and everyone will be standing anyway. Lol!
Bobby’s concert started with a hard-hitting performance of “f” followed by “Devil” and “No Time”. He then continued to play “GOrGeOUS”, “U Mad”, “Cherry Blossom”, “Fireworks”, “Swim”, “Tendae”, and “HeartBROKEN PlaYBoY”, to name a few.
I didn’t take a lot of fancams because I am busy enjoying the whole show. I was jumping, shouting, and singing all at the same time. The energy of everyone was so intense that it just can’t keep you still. You will move automatically as soon as you hear those notes being sang / rapped by Bobby.
I was also touched when I saw him being genuinely happy with the way we sang his songs especially the “Runaway”. Bobby also commented that our energy was something he has never seen from his world tour. It was incomparable.
I was happy that I made that decision to watch Bobby’s Zero Gravity Concert. It was definitely one for the books.
After the concert, the SIRs from my section decided to take a group picture before we exit the concert hall. I personally don’t know them but it was nice of them to do it for remembrance. đ
Thank you Three Angles Production for bringing Bobby in Manila.đ
