If I will be asked how my 2021 was, I would say that it was a test of our mental and emotional wellbeing. Uhhmmm… How do I explain this? It was like we were good physically but we were struggling mentally that it’s been draining. Thankfully, we’re stronger and we made it okay in 2021! 🙂
Let me tell you more about it in my 2021 reflection below:
????FINANCE. My budgeting system has started to cope up with the economic impact of the pandemic that I was able to save money. It was not much as compared to what I save during pre-pandemic but it was enough for me to enjoy the Holidays. Truth to be told, it was hard saving money when I was the only one making regular income for the family (both of my parents have already retired), and expenses were left and right. It was only break even.
My savings came from my side hustles and the profits I’ve made from my online shop OhMyK! PH. But of course, those savings were already properly allocated to serve its purpose. I also started having Karen Meets World Family Records which I learned from JaxReyes for me to be able to track all my finances. It’s always wise to manage our finances to the best of our ability. How we do it keeps on changing from time-to-time. There’s no correct way to do it but do it based on what works for you!

????CAREER. I’m always grateful to have a stable job with a supportive and understanding boss. We have started our on-site work this year. At first, I’ve felt fearful because it’s the first time that we will be interacting face-to-face with our clients again, but they (my boss) were there to check up on us and provide us the support we needed. It was such an adjustment, but over time we learn to go with the flow.

????HEALTH. This year’s events have taken a toll on our mental and emotional health. We have lost three important people in our lives – My uncle (mom’s brother), my grandaunt (grandpa’s sister), and my friend (Ms. Mae: co worker). It was all so sudden and heartbreaking. I admit it made me have anxiety and sleepless nights. Phone notifications and rings made me all jumpy. If you have been following me since the beginning, you’ll know that anything about sickness, hospitals, and death give me panic attacks as it was my trauma.
When my uncle was in the hospital, we were all stressed as we were not able to see him because of hospital protocols during pandemic which was really hard. My mom started having hyperacidity caused by the stress. It takes a while before it got healed. I also got repetitive toothaches. I had my tooth fall on its own while eating. I thank the Lord, Mother Mary, Jesus, and all the Saints for healing us.
We were slowly keeping ourselves together but it was never easy. Although I’m sure that we will get through this and that we will be able to cope up.
Regarding vaccine, all of us in the family were able to get our vaccine shots and we were planning to have booster shots probably next year.

????????????FAMILY. We became closer and stronger as a family with all those challenges we’ve been through the year. What’s good also was that we were able to see each other again (face-to-face / physically) when the protocols were lowered down. We have travelled to my mom’s hometown, bonded with our family and attended family events which were fun.
I hope that slowly we will be able to return to normal so we can bond more.
THINGS I’M GRATEFUL FOR
Despite the struggle brought about by the year 2021, there were also good things that I’m grateful for such as follows:
- I am grateful for a good health for me, my parents and my family.
- I am grateful for all the blessings.
- I am grateful for my work.
- I am grateful for our house and the food on our table.
- I am grateful for me to be able to return to blogging.
- I am grateful for all the people that supports my blog.
- I am grateful for all the people that supports my online shop.
- I am grateful for all the people that supports me on my endeavors.
- I am grateful for everything.
MANIFESTING✨
I hope that in 2022 I will manifest good health for me, my parents, and my family, work promotion and regularization, more support and profit for my online shop and blogging, more travels with family and friends, new home that we can call our own, and more savings!!!
I hope that the pandemic ends already.
